An Adelaide Fringe Exhibition of RSASA Members racing to the finish line with paintings, photographs, sculpture, mixed media, textiles and much more. The Royal South Australian Society of Arts (RSASA) is an icon of the Arts in South Australia, as is the SAJC’s in racing.

This exhibition brings forth art into horse racing. A horse is a horse, of course, but when it is racing it is something else, a racing horse, quick to the finish line. The atmosphere, the celebrations, the fashions, the colours, all embedded into a day at the races. From the exhibition “Adelaide Cup 2011, Up & Running at the RSASA Gallery” , and members of the RSASA, you will discover the talents of these skilled artists, depicting the carnival atmosphere, with paint onto canvases, paper, into sculptures, printmaking, photography, mixed media and more. An exhibition of artworks celebrating this build up to a race, to the finish line, the hype, the tensions, the happiness, the training, all comes together for these artists.
(Sponsors: Atkins Technicolour, South Australian Jockey Club Inc, Evright Trophies) Invitation painting by Gerhard Ritter, FRSASA.
