Margaret McEntee

Drawing and painting have been an integral part of Margaret’s life since her earliest years. This led her to attend The Girl’s Central Art School where the development of her abilities began.

Inspiration has been found in creation and daily life leading to a variety of subject material. Margaret seeks for the expression of subjects to be true without deviation or distortion, therefore she majors in sound drawing. Oils have been a predominant medium, however in the mid 90ies Margaret discovered the delights of pastels which she pursues with great enthusiasm.

Since 2001 her work has gained 85 awards and prizes notably 2 gold awards at the Victor Harbor Rotary Art Shows 2013 and 1016. First prizes 2013 and 2017 at the Clare Rotary Art Show, Best in Show 2009, Campbelltown Rotary Art Show and best in show at 2013 PASA Exhibition.

Margaret finds pen and pencil useful when travelling and enjoys landscapes, street scenes, florals, still life and portraits.
