I began drawing in 1990 and painting with acrylics in 1991. Since then I have experimented with various techniques in a variety of media and I now paint in acrylic, oils and pastel. I also work with clay, stone and mosaics.
Although I like to do still life, portraits and figure studies, my main subject matter has been Australian wildlife. For as long as I can remember, I experience such a thrill when seeing our wildlife in its natural habitat and fortunately my travels have provided me with many memorable encounters and much material to work with.
I feel very privileged to be able to portray our fauna in the media I think it deserves for the story I want to tell. As I live by the beach, my work also regularly features coastal themes.
I have exhibited successfully since 1992.
I am also a member of Pastel Artists of South Australia and of the Red House Group.
